This bride has an ethereal beauty that my shutter button just LOVED! We took these at Magnolia Ridge, a gorgeous place just outside of Opelousas right around sunset and I couldn't be more thrilled with these photographs!

Playing catch-up after the holidays!

I hope everyone had a fabulous last couple of weeks and that you've spent your holidays with loved ones! I must confess that the Christmas rush has set me back quite a lot and though I have been missing from here, I have tons of material to cover. I want to start with this gorgeous set of siblings. They are my little models :)

The day was cool by Louisiana standards, the light was perfect and the subjects were gorgeous. What more can a photographer ask for. We ventured out to the New State Capitol grounds that afternoon and found a veritable playground for a 6 year old. It took about an hour of climbing trees and running through "mazes" to tire out this energetic boy. Gotta say, a part of me was wishing I could join him :)

We took this set at LSU. It's definitely one of my favorite places to shoot. It's a gorgeous campus with lots of variety. Sam was turning the big One and he was an adorable trip! Big eyes, long lashes, easy disposition and a smile that'll melt your heart. What fun!

It was hot, it was humid but we weren't deterred. LSU has some amazing spots for taking photographs and combined with my little model we made photo magic. At least I think so. I love how mom styled her!!! And let me tell you she's got the attitude to pull it off too!

Engagement Photography - Baton Rouge - Chase and Desiree

I absolutely love it when clients come up with their own original and uniquely fitting ideas for their photoshoot! These two love wine and food and were an absolute blast to photograph partly because they are gorgeous, inside and out, and partly because of the quirkiness of some of the settings we chose. We started out at The Grape, a wine bar in the heart of Perkins Rowe that I'd like to go back to since at the time I refused to partake of their menu. I was determined to give my beautiful clients straight and focused photographs you see ;)

We took a walk around Perkins Rowe and found a couple of great spots, especially the Sur La Table store front.

Then we found our way to Southside Produce, an open air market that sells fresh, locally grown food. Awesome!

And what a better way to end our session than to head back to their beautiful home and prepare a savory meal?
