Lovebirds Part 2 - Epic Smooches

Engagement Photography Session in Downtown Baton Rouge

Can't decide which we like better. Color,

or black and white,

Family Portrait Photography - Baton Rouge's Cohn Arboretum

We headed out to the Baton Rouge Cohn Arboretum early on a cool Saturday morning, this time for a family photography session. They were so fun to work with. They have two beautiful and spunky kids that were a joy to shoot. I call them the blue eyed family - I think you'll be able to tell why! Enjoy...

And one with their beloved Halloween costumes... She absolutely adores her big brother and copies him in everything he does. It's the sweetest!

A girl and her horse

I have been wanting to shoot horses for a long time now and when my aunt moved down from Houston with her horses I started cooking up ideas in my head. It's the icing on the cake that her daughter Anna is so beautiful, she has the most incredible eyes, and a very talented cowgirl. I haven't seen her at a rodeo yet, but I'm hoping I will soon. So we woke up early to get good light and headed to their farm house north of Baton Rouge. It's such a beautiful setting!

I don't know much about horses other than that I love to watch them and I loved even more watching and photographing Anna and her horse together - you could see the bond and trust between them.

And here are a couple of just Anna so you can see her eyes up close!

Lovebirds :)

We had an engagement shoot in downtown Baton Rouge on Saturday and it was sooo much fun! All that walking around with my sister the previous days and practicing on each other really paid off. We were able to go straight to the spots we loved so we didn't waste any time trying to find the best places or the right lighting. Of course the shoot still lasted two hours, but that's because we were enjoying ourselves too much, haha. Here's a sneak peak, there's much more to come!

He does this so well...

Beautiful Couisins

It was so great shooting these two. Even if the baby slept through it all... I think it only adds to her angelic look. It was the older cousin's photoshoot, but grandma wanted pictures of the two grandbabies together as well, and I'm so glad she did because I got one of my all-time favorite shots. The older one's eyes are so intense, and the baby sleeps so safely and content...

I love this candid shot. We got the best expressions when she was unaware of the camera, haha.

This was grandma's favorite picture of her. Two years ago I took a picture of her in an orange shirt at the studio and grandma loved it so much she bought her another orange shirt just for this shoot. It goes so great with her beautiful skintone!

Showing off her snazzy outfit! She's very stylish and she sure knows her poses.

Holding hands, so sweet.

New Orleans and Baton Rouge practice run

We're trying to find cool new places to make great photos so my sister and I have been going out around town to see what we can discover. We've been practicing on each other and here are some of the results.

Beautiful friends and places!

It's so great having beautiful friends that will let you take their picture! And to top it all off, we found the most amazing site with the sweetest people! Rip Van Winkle Gardens right outside of New Iberia has an incredible array of plants and the setting is absolutely incredible! So much fun!
